This time of the year it is kind of dried out. But you can find residual ponds here and there. Bit long hike from the parking area. But it is worth the effort.
Suitable for walking with shade, but the waterfall has no water.
Great easy trail to the falls..great weather in spring and fall..don’t expect any water in the winter months..must be a blast in the summer when the creek is flowing
Beautiful place to hike! Definitely bring a map or use a map app so you don’t get lost, there are a lot of trails that run parallel to the main train that make it confusing. Great views and a fun place to adventure!
Went for a early morning hike with the Mrs. it was a beautiful sight and can't wait to go back after a few rains. The hike is moderate a few steep inclines but fairly smooth when you are near the water.
Trail run out to here was fun, just be aware is narrow. You'll have to be patient as you'll get stuck behind people which can be annoying if you're trying to go fast. Everyone was very good about moving out of your way and saying hi. It can get fairly technical as far as trail running terrain goes.
The falls were all dry when I got there so that was a little unexpected, but still it was fun. Round trip from the trail head is 3 miles so be prepared.
Beautiful and a good distance for new hikers. There's inclines and when it's summer the river flows strong. You can see wildlife all around you if you take a moment to stop and listen. I like hiking it in the fall and winter for there aren't nearly as many people and the trail can get pretty tight when crowded in a few areas. When the water is dried up you can walk where the river would flow and it's a serene feeling. Also adds some mild intensity to the hike. If your a climber there 1 spot year round under the route 1 bridge you can climb that will keep your skills in shape and when the water is dried up there is a few other spots you can where the river usually is. Only down side to this spot is you can hear cars off the highway so you never get that completely lost in nature feeling. But still a great area!
Been raining all week and looks like the water level is up, great hike, definitely wear a comfortable pair of shoes, nice trails and beautiful scenery. If you appreciate this review please, like. Thanks
